About The Position

Basic Requirements: · Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Science in Logistics or related field. · 5+ years of Fleet Management experience; experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environment, industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc. preferred. · Mobile Maintenance background preferred · Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions · Demonstrated success in cultural “turn around” a plus · Proven in leading operational excellence through applying behavior-based management · Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills · Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic · Fluency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution of the daily delivery plan, working as a team member with other departments to maximize efficiencies/production.
  • Manage driver schedules to maximize profits and efficiencies
  • Develops and manages the fleet budget
  • Register and license all vehicles under fleet responsibility
  • Interface with regulatory agencies as required, ensure compliance and reporting requirements are met
  • Maximize profits/fleet efficiency
  • Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency and cost savings
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance, servicing and inspection
  • Provide leadership to ensure all company safety rules and regulations in accordance with regulatory agencies are observed by employees. This includes planning the necessary resources in manpower and budgeting to accomplish site safety goals and administer safety initiatives
