About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance - Optimization, the Manager of Productivity Analytics leads the productivity and decision support teams in analyzing, maintaining, and communicating productivity data across the organization. This role supports operational leaders by providing actionable insights, facilitating education, and driving improvement initiatives aligned with Tampa General Hospital’s strategic goals. The manager ensures data accuracy, oversees productivity tools, supports budget planning, and collaborates with stakeholders to optimize workforce utilization and operational efficiency. The position requires strong analytical, technical, and leadership capabilities to manage complex data streams and guide decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or other related field required.
  • Five (5) years equivalent experience in an acute care setting, preferably with an employee base of 6,000 and greater.
  • Five (5) year’s work experience participating in or coordinating/leading projects.
  • Previous experience with maintaining a productivity tool such as Strata or EPSi.
  • Deep understanding of productivity tools (e.g., Strata, EPSi), staffing models, and benchmarks in acute care settings.
  • Ability to work across multiple data sources (e.g., payroll, timekeeping, EHR) to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Skilled in translating complex productivity data into actionable insights for senior and executive leadership.
  • Experience leading productivity initiatives, managing multiple projects, and implementing process improvements.
  • Capable of designing and delivering training programs to enhance data literacy and tool utilization among leaders.
  • Proficient in supporting budget cycles, position control, and workforce planning through productivity analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage productivity and decision support teams, prioritizing analysis and trends aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders, facilitating access to reports and tools for informed decision-making.
  • Identify and execute productivity improvement plans, collaborating with stakeholders to implement action strategies.
  • Oversee data accuracy and relevance, resolving reporting issues and maintaining documentation of processes.
  • Facilitate executive overviews and presentations, summarizing key findings and progress on productivity metrics.
  • Support budget planning and position control, providing data-driven recommendations for staffing and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate training programs for new and existing leaders on productivity tools and data interpretation.
  • Analyze internal and external benchmarks, identifying trends and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Serve as a technical resource, guiding leaders in developing operational measures and change management strategies.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests, delivering timely and accurate data analysis to support strategic initiatives.
