About The Position

Capital One is seeking a culture-led, results-driven, and strategic Manager of Bank Technology Finance. This is an exciting time for Capital One, as we are looking to expand our business aggressively in the partner credit card segment, not only through organic growth in existing programs, but also through acquisitions of new card partners. The role will be the work lead for a team of vertical financial analysts supporting the financials of Retail, Commercial, and Small Business Bank Technology portfolios. This position will have significant exposure to internal business partners teams to help drive partner-specific financial insights. This position will serve as the work lead providing oversight for the actuals and outlook, presenting monthly financial analysis to internal leadership, and managing quarterly or annual strategic exercises related to the business. Key responsibilities include: Develop a deep understanding of the components of the Technology P&L to help drive insights and analytics on the financial performance of the business Accurately analyze & explain key drivers and monthly variances, suggest actions to the business, and manage the regular reporting process for multiple segments Generate ongoing analytical insights into overall financial performance Develop and deliver senior management presentations Partner with internal leaders to provide strategic finance and finance perspective on business initiatives Create well-managed sustainable processes and continuously challenge what’s possible Independently manage, prioritize, and delegate tasks The ideal candidate will provide strong financial leadership. The role requires problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively: Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights Able to critically evaluate option sets and present recommendations Effective under both open-ended and tight timelines Partner with leadership and business teams to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences Comfortable working in blank canvas and the ability to get work done through others

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 4 years’ of experience in financial analysis
  • At least 4 years’ experience with financial modeling
  • At least 1 year of experience managing a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function
  • Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights
  • Able to critically evaluate option sets and present recommendations
  • Effective under both open-ended and tight timelines
  • Partner with leadership and business teams to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization
  • Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences
  • Comfortable working in blank canvas and the ability to get work done through others

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
  • 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience
