Your Opportunity as the Manager, Inventory and Cost Systems Lead our Inventory and Cost Systems team that works with cross functional teams to maintain Smucker costing, inventory, and execution systems. Also responsible for many month-end close responsibilities related to Manufacturing Variances, Absorption, Purchase Price Variances, and Obsolescence. Location: Orrville, OH Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; more as business need requires. Reports To: Director, Operations Finance In this role you will Lead, coach, and develop team of one lead analyst, three financial analysts, and one senior accounting coordinator [5 total direct reports] Oversee journal entries of Company cost variances, including standard cost revaluation, purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, and absorption. Manage journal entry, consolidation, and reporting of obsolescence to senior leadership OPM system responsibilities include Maintain and create new inventory organizations within Oracle for company wide use Monthly posting of receiving, production, and inventory system transactions New Item attributes, formulas, & costing setup and formula change maintenance Monthly rollup & freezing of standard costs Maintain Subledger Accounting Mappings Support plant users with Oracle direct material receiving, production reporting, and inventory management responsibilities Support CPG/WMS Reconciliation training and troubleshooting Key contributor to PFS department training Complete Annual Standards Review & Plan Activities Provide acquisition support through training and loading costing and formulation data Maintain close relationship with IS in order to prioritize incidents and enhancements to improve system capabilities across supply chain Support various supply chain IOs & projects as needed Assure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate policies for assigned responsibilities as well as SOX controls (costing & inventory) The Right Place for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.
