3d$90,000 - $120,000Onsite

About The Position

At VEG, we find a way to say YES – especially when it comes to learning, growth, and exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll travel to VEG hospital to empower Nursing Trainers, veterinary nurses, and assistants through hands-on, high-impact training. You’ll serve as both a trainer and a mentor, partnering closely with Nursing Trainers and hospital teams to deliver consistent, engaging, and clinically relevant training across a wide range of emergency medicine topics. With a strong foundation in ECC, you’ll adapt your teaching to meet learners where they are—whether coaching new assistants, sharpening advanced nursing skills, or developing trainers to lead with confidence. If you thrive on travel, collaboration, and making a tangible difference in how teams show up for patients and each other, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of emergency nursing at VEG.

Requirements

  • Credentialed technician in the state you reside, with extensive experience in emergency and critical care nursing, including anesthesia. Graduation from an AVMA-accredited program is preferred. Board certified Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care, Anesthesia/Analgesia, Internal Medicine (Small Animal), or Clinical Practice (Exotics Companion Animal) or experience in adult education, clinical training, or instructional program development is strongly preferred.
  • Willing and eager to continue to grow as a clinical professional and trainer through developing personal skills and knowledge to deliver a variety of training programs
  • Previous experience in a training role for both veterinary assistants and credentialed veterinary technicians
  • Ability to coordinate training projects with multiple teams across markets.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, as determined by training needs
  • Ability to transport educational/simulation/equipment and supplies as needed throughout travels (up to 50lbs)

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with field leadership, build and execute quarterly regional strategy for training opportunities in region
  • As part of the execution of regional strategy, perform high-quality and impactful clinical training experiences including RECOVER Rescuer certification, Anesthesia Simulation training, exotics skills training on cadavers, and more.
  • Build regional training champions by delivering Train-the-Trainer programs. These programs would support in-person education for VEG veterinary assistants and nurses, aligned with hospital-level and VEG-wide needs. Success in this role means creating scalable, repeatable training experiences and confidently handing off skills-based education to in-hospital Nursing Trainers.
  • Coordinate with hospital Nursing leadership to organize field-level training and identify impact post-training.
  • Provide Nursing Trainer mentorship, primarily supporting the success of the Cultivate program by ensuring high standards and clinical integrity.
