About The Position

The Manager, Fiber Deployment Programs is responsible for driving execution of assigned fiber deployment programs from design through construction and formal acceptance. This role ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within approved capital parameters, and in compliance with engineering standards and readiness gates. The Program Manager coordinates vendors, engineering, permitting, procurement, and PMO controls to maintain production velocity while protecting cost and quality. This role requires strong technical fluency in OSP design and constructability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years OSP deployment experience
  • Direct experience managing contractors/vendor partners
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex fiber projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of OSP network architecture, constructability, permitting, and field operations.
  • Experience working independently in the field, as well as part of team.
  • Must be prompt, reliable, have a sense of urgency, quick thinking.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Ability to translate information in drawings, blueprints, spreadsheets and as-builts.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end to end execution of assigned fiber builds.
  • Maintain market level schedules to align to master deployment plans.
  • Ensure projects move through readiness gates without drift.
  • Identify schedule risks and drives recovery plans.
  • Oversee day to day performance of construction and engineering vendors
  • Validate vendor progress against milestone commitments
  • Escalate underperformance and coordinate corrective actions
  • Ensure as-built and documentation is complete and accurate
  • Serve as technical escalation point to vendor partners
  • Monitor cost per passing against baselines
  • Validate field driven change orders
  • Escalate material budget variance(s)
  • Review designs for constructability and execution feasibility
  • Partner with internal teams to remove permitting bottlenecks
  • Align with internal teams to maintain schedule and reporting accuracy
  • Coordinate handoffs to network operations upon acceptance readiness
  • Other duties as assigned.
