Position Summary : The Manager, External Innovation will assist in the planning and execution of Corporate Development initiatives. As a key member of our dynamic and active Corporate Development team, you will support the evaluation, due diligence, and deal execution of inorganic business opportunities, including early-stage IP and technologies, whether strategically targeted or surgeon initiated.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite (Power Point, Excel, Word)

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or medical device experience strongly preferred
  • Engineering background a definite plus
  • Investment Banking or Consulting experience a definite plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the external innovation process through the evaluation of early-stage IP and technology
  • Serve as a point of contact for all external innovation, interfacing with surgeons, universities, hospitals and/or other sources
  • Organize data, teasers, and other materials while maintaining internal tracking systems
  • Engage with product development leaders to conduct comprehensive technical and strategic reviews
  • Engage IP & regulatory teams in the assessment of technology with discrete intellectual property
  • Drive monthly deliverables for the review of inorganic opportunities with Company management
  • Support due diligence processes, compiling, organizing and analyzing information for M&A, licensing, investment, or other deal structures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
