About The Position

The Leading Hotels of the World is seeking a Manager, Events to join our global events team. This role is central to shaping and delivering extraordinary experiences that connect our member hotels with key clients and stakeholders around the world. You’ll lead regional and global events and work closely with colleagues across teams and regions to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience. From early planning through execution, this role blends strategic thinking with hands-on project management and collaboration to deliver exceptional experiences that elevate The Leading Hotels of the World brand. This is a full-time position located in New York City. We offer flexible workplace policies that allow for working remotely 3 days a week and require being in our NYC office 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays). This role also requires being available across multiple time zones and the ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed. Must be available to travel internationally.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience planning and executing events, including budgeting, with a background in marketing and communications
  • Availability to work across multiple time zones, specifically APAC
  • Strong understanding of B2B clients, particularly within the luxury hospitality and travel trade space
  • Experience reviewing BEOs and negotiating contracts with vendors
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
  • Proficiency with event management platforms (CVENT strongly preferred) and project management tools (Jira or similar)
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CVENT, Jira, Salesforce, and Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of NAMER events (Virtuoso Travel Week, LE Miami, Membership Meetings, Regional showcases/roadshows).
  • Oversee planning and execution of APAC membership meetings and ILTM APAC.
  • Manage event logistics including venue sourcing, contract/vendor negotiations, budgets, BEOs, F&B, entertainment, transportation, and on-site execution.
  • Build and manage registration sites and client invitations in CVENT.
  • Provide planning oversight and consultation for regional events (roadshows, sales missions, client events, Industry trade shows etc.) in NAMER and APAC across multiple segments.
  • Ensure alignment with global event standards, processes, and brand standards.
  • Oversee training and onboarding of global sales team event planners, ensuring consistent adoption of best practices, maintaining the onboarding resource site, and monitoring readiness
  • Support the planning and delivery of LHW’s global marquee events, including Annual Convention, The Summit, and key internal programs such as GLM and Sales Trainings.
  • Collaborate closely with the global events team to build, document, and manage standardized operating procedures across departments.
  • Develop and uphold global event communication standards to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the global events calendar within Cvent, ensuring accuracy and real-time visibility.
  • Manage part-time/hourly CVENT contractor, ensuring quality and timeliness of event builds and support.
  • Build and manage the event support ticketing system in Jira, overseeing request intake and project-managing assignments to the appropriate team members for timely resolution.
  • Manage the general event inbox and route incoming requests to the appropriate individuals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Accounting on event-related processes.
