About The Position

The Event Sales & Service Manager is responsible for managing the intake, qualification, and execution of event inquiries for the National Training Center. This role serves as the primary venue contact for external and internal clients, guiding them from initial inquiry through execution and post-event follow-up. The Manager will balance an inbound-first sales model with proactive business development, representing U.S. Soccer at trade shows and industry events. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset to establish systems, processes, and client service standards from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in event sales, services, or account management in a sports, university, convention center, or multi-venue setting.
  • Strong client service orientation with demonstrated success in stewarding accounts.
  • Familiarity with CRM and event/venue management systems (Ungerboeck, Salesforce, Momentus, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting elite sport environments and/or national governing body programs.
  • CMP, CSEP, or similar certification.
  • Multilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
  • Familiarity with ADA standards and accessibility best practices.
  • Passion for soccer.

Responsibilities

  • Event Intake & Client Support Manage the event intake pipeline, qualifying inquiries, scoping venue needs, and setting expectations on availability, timelines, and costs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients from inquiry through event execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Work within Momentus to enter, track, and update event details, requirements, and associated documentation.
  • Event Planning & Coordination Coordinate event logistics and requirements, including room sets, A/V needs, signage, accessibility accommodations, and event resources.
  • Work with Levy to develop BEOs, ensuring all food & beverage details are accurate and aligned with client expectations.
  • Develop production schedules and run-of-show documents for assigned events.
  • Support or manage pre-conference meetings, daily huddles, and post-event reviews to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Sales & Service (Inbound & Internal) Draft and manage proposals, contracts, and agreements in coordination with Legal and Finance.
  • Create and manage event function sheets, production schedules, and run-of-show documents.
  • Represent the NTC at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to cultivate new opportunities and expand networks.
  • Assist the Director of Hospitality and Events in updating rate cards, contract templates, and service-level standards.
  • Track client satisfaction, event performance, and service delivery metrics; support Director in developing KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate cross-functionally with Facilities, Security, IT, F&B, Lodging, and Marketing/Communications to ensure flawless delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality Manager to ensure front-of-house guest experience aligns with event execution.
  • Other Duties Support the development of playbooks for recurring event scenarios and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with NTC policies, insurance requirements, and safety protocols.
