About The Position

As a Manager of Equipment Engineering, you will lead the activities of advanced cell manufacturing equipment design, layout planning, capacity balancing, FAT, SAT, production ramp-up, continuous optimization and upgrading of existed line, solve on-site process issues and equipment defects, improve yield ratio, prepare related documentation, coach team members.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in science or engineering (Machinery, Automation, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering are preferred).
• 10+ year experience with equipment/process development, maintenance, production.
• Knowledge of emerging cell manufacturing process/equipment technologies is preferred.
• Deep-in knowledge of cell equipment design, modification and continuous optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity and attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Chinese is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead team to drive the decisions of equipment design selections to advance high-power cell manufacturing technologies.
• Work with external vendors and collaborators to develop and qualify the cell equipment design and advanced process technologies.
• Develop the technology evaluation plan, identify the required resources, set up timelines, prioritize tasks, troubleshoot problems, and assess technical feasibility and commercial viability.
• Effectively communicate the ideas and results both internally and externally.
• Monitor projects status, provide updates, deliver reports/presentations regarding the current and future development activities, and make recommendations.
• Identify the patentable inventions and generate IPs.
• Build, grow, and mentor the whole team to the next level of excellence.
