About The Position

The Engineering Manager provides technical vision, leadership, and strategic direction for a team of software developers building scalable, secure, and innovative healthcare SaaS applications. This role drives engineering excellence, fosters a collaborative and inclusive team culture, and ensures alignment with organizational goals and healthcare standards. The Engineering Manager partners with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities, deliver high-impact solutions, and support continuous improvement in clinical workflows and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in projects or team collaboration
  • Experience in healthcare SaaS environments and cloud platforms.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% is required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Certifications in cloud architecture, agile leadership, or healthcare IT standards.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Guides the architecture and design of cloud-native healthcare SaaS applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Guide secure architecture design and integration of AI/ML capabilities.
  • Set technical direction and standards for full-stack development (C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL Server).
  • Oversee adoption of microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to healthcare data standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, DICOM) and secure coding practices.
  • Lead the development of interoperable systems that integrate with EHRs and clinical platforms.
  • Stay current with healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements.
  • Drive agile methodologies and DevOps practices across the engineering team.
  • Translate business goals into technical deliverables, managing timelines, risks, and resources.
  • Champion continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and improve software quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with product, clinical, compliance, executive, customer success, and client service teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.
  • Represent engineering in strategic planning and technology evaluation forums.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage performance to foster individual growth and accountability, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent by building strong capabilities and creating clear career development pathways/providing opportunities for continuous learning and advancement.
  • Cultivate a high-performing culture that promotes engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams.
