Job Summary: The Distribution Tech team within US Retail Markets (USRM) is seeking to hire a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead key teams within our Book Transfer portfolio. This position will be responsible for hiring, managing, and deploying engineering resources to ensure optimal alignment with business priorities. This leader will coach and evaluate their teams, foster a motivating and collaborative work environment, and ensure continuous delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable code. They will provide technical guidance, especially to less experienced engineers, manage total cost of ownership, advocate for reduction of technical debt, and champion agile methodologies to drive team effectiveness. The Book Transfer portfolio’s mission is to make it easy and profitable for agents and employees to move books of business (external transfers, consolidations, and internal migrations) to Liberty, with a vision to enable end‑to‑end transfers—from data extraction to policy issuance—in just a few clicks. This portfolio historically drives ~$200–$250M/year in PL new business while expanding Small Commercial central to internal migrations like State Auto. Funded at $4.6M for 2025 (Tier 1 25%, migrations 50%, SC growth 25%), the portfolio provides bulk quoting, data management, an agent/customer Book Transfer portal, book assessment tools, Salesforce-based CRM and ops management, and supporting automation services. This position requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and a passion for delivering impactful solutions that empower business growth and operational excellence within US Retail Market.
