About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to manage a Mechanical engineering design team of the NOLA Project Office through planning, design, and execution phases of the portfolio of capital projects. Responsible for the overall delivery of all Mechanical engineering deliverables to achieve the portfolio objectives (scope and quality) within the specified timeframes and budgets. Manage the Mechanical engineering design team ensuring consistent application of codes, standards, and best practices across projects. Develop and implement fit-for-purpose solutions for a wide range of projects, from small operational support to large-scale capital. Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement through standards and best practices. Ensure projects have appropriate Mechanical resources and regularly appraise team structure for effectiveness. Oversee engineering processes, systems, and software setup, and coordinate quality audits for compliance. Guide project-level deliverable development, budgets, and schedules while ensuring alignment with other disciplines. Collaborate with Procurement, Construction, and Operations to maintain execution alignment and contribute to risk assessments, design reviews, and safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and 10 years of experience in engineering field; OR
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and 8 years of experience in engineering field; AND
  • Experience managing design engineering teams working on large-scale projects
  • Domestic and International travel up to 15%
