You would be responsible to administer, manage and direct the operation of the EMS program.

Requirements

B.S. in Emergency Medical Services or related.
Graduate of approved paramedic program.
10 years paramedic level pre-hospital patient care experience.
5 years EMS administration, education, quality assurance and emergency pre-hospital care.
Valid Licensed Connecticut paramedic within six months of employment.
Administrative, analytical, educational, excellent interpersonal communications and public relations, effective writing.

Responsibilities

Administers, manages and directs the operation of the EMS program.
The Manager is responsible for program development, evaluation, quality assurance, policies and procedures, and program parameters for the EMS program.
Collaborates with Licensed Practitioners, nursing leadership and administrative personnel to accomplish the objectives of the programs.
The Manager plays a significant role in marketing hospital services to the EMS community and attracting them to utilize St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center.
Manages departmental EMS activities to foster strong relationships between Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and providers of pre-hospital care and local, regional and state governmental agencies, including, administrative, quality assurance, clinical assistance and educational opportunities.
