The Manager, Electrical Hardware & Accessories will lead the development of Electric Control Modules into production. In addition, this position will also develop and execute accessory access point integration This position will also lead the implementation of communications requirements and manage the development, sourcing, and engineering of these solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in Electrical Control Module design, development, and execution in the automotive industry.
  • 5+ years of experience working with low voltage (LV) electrical power distribution.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role in automotive engineering.
  • Experience leading a highly technical team and capability to provide technical direction in terms of strategy and execution, aligning with strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Track record of engaging with suppliers and engineering teams, and developing trusted relationships, influencing them through electrical architecture and technology.
  • Track record of meeting deliverables on-time and on-specification.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced automotive development environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

  • Master's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and integration of various control modules through design reviews and support pre-production builds.
  • Manage and lead the strategy and execution of hardware DFMEA and DVP&R
  • Collaborate with suppliers to design, develop, and integrate ECUs into the vehicle electrical architecture, ensuring ECUs meet all timing, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Support field warranty and quality investigations, leading root cause analysis and identifying optimal solutions.
  • Provide regular communications on project status, risks, quality of hardware status, requirements vs test metrics/traceability and resources related issues to project stakeholders and management
  • Establish and maintain BOM for Electrical Hardware and Accessories.
  • Mentor team members and promote continuous learning and development.
