Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, including leadership of complex consumer electronic product designs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
  • Advanced expertise in electrical/electronic circuit design, evaluation, and testing.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from concept through production and successfully launch products to market.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Working knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, die casting, extrusions, stamping, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Solid business acumen with an understanding of product cost, manufacturing impacts, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced engineering analysis, simulation, and design tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers across multiple concurrent product development projects.
  • Provide daily technical oversight and hands-on contribution to electrical and electronic design, development, testing, and validation.
  • Manage projects from concept through production launch, including schedules, milestones, cost targets, and technical requirements.
  • Review and evaluate designs to ensure compliance with engineering standards, development guidelines, and quality objectives.
  • Drive innovation by researching and integrating new technologies, tools, and best practices into product designs and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and manufacturable designs.
  • Establish and maintain engineering design practices that maximize productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to resolve complex technical challenges and support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted development efforts as needed.
  • Plan resources, allocate budgets, and support departmental growth and long-term technical strategy.
  • Partner with HR on hiring, performance management, employee development, and team engagement initiatives.
