Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience supporting prototype and production products of RF/Microwave hardware
  • Experience designing RF/Microwave circuits at the circuit card or module level (schematic capture, BOM generation, layout or layout supervision)
  • Experience troubleshooting RF/microwave subassemblies to the component level
  • Previous leadership and or group management experience
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Active security clearance
  • Extensive experience in large ground system RF terminal development
  • Familiarity with transmitter and receiver architecture design
  • Transmitter design: gain distribution, linearity, modulation formats synthesizer architecture, and EVM performance.
  • Receiver front end design: Noise figure, dynamic range, acquisition and tracking threshold, and BER performance.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with systems verification

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead a team of 10+ Electrical Engineers
  • Responsible for adherence to Hardware Design Process and improvements
  • Responsible for all aspects of RF/microwave product development, including System and module level design definition
  • Schematic capture, circuit design, analysis, and simulation
  • Generation of product test procedures
  • Participate in hardware design reviews and Design Verification Testing
  • Participate in failure analysis and root cause corrective action
  • Support Business Development
  • Author Basis of Estimates for proposals
  • Support short fused ROM and RFI efforts
  • Facilitate and support working group meetings with the customer and the engineering team responsible for end products
  • Earned Value Management and/or Cost Account Management Experience
  • Work with technical team to identify, mitigate and close program risks
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment; interact, anticipate, and respond to customer needs
  • Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance
