About The Position

We’re hiring a digital leader to drive the strategy and performance of our key consumer-facing channels, including chuckecheese.com, our booking experiences, and our email ecosystem. Your mission: drive traffic and engagement that gets families to visit, book parties, and stay active. You’ll blend digital marketing strategy with CRM leadership, working closely with IT, Brand, and Operations to shape experiences that are intuitive, fun, and revenue-generating at scale. You will manage a Marketing Technology Specialist (who handles technical implementation, tagging, and coding), oversee our digital roadmap, and guide an Innovation Budget ($50k–$100k) to test tools and AI that improve workflow, insights, and consumer experience. What Success Looks Like Growth : Increased organic traffic (SEO) and engagement across web and email. Revenue : Strong conversion for Birthday Bookings and Membership/Fun Pass programs Automation : High-performing Chatbot and email journeys that reduce friction and drive conversion. Data : Using analytics to make clear, strategic decisions. Retention : Email programs that drive repeat visits and incremental revenue. Alignment : Cross-functional coordination that speeds execution and reduces rework.

Requirements

  • A digital marketer with a product mindset; you see opportunities in data, flows, and UX.
  • Strong at connecting strategy to execution across multiple teams.
  • Experienced working in CMS platforms, analytics tools (GA4), and email/CRM systems.
  • Skilled at turning performance data into actionable insights.
  • Curious about AI and emerging tech, with good judgment on where testing adds value.
  • 4–6 years in digital marketing, CRM, or web experience management.
  • Experience improving conversion or engagement for a transactional or high-traffic website.
  • Experience building segmentation, lifecycle, or trigger-based email programs.
  • Experience using GA4 (or similar enterprise analytics) to inform strategy and optimization decisions.
  • Experience managing direct reports and coordinating freelance vendors.
  • Familiarity with privacy and accessibility expectations; able to partner with IT/Legal as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Website, Chatbot & Booking Experience Strategy : Lead strategy for ChuckECheese.com and booking flows (birthday, membership, reservations).
  • Booking Optimization : Identify friction points and optimize user experience to boost engagement and conversion for our primary revenue engines.
  • Chatbot Evolution : Drive the roadmap for the website Chatbot. You will identify opportunities to expand its capabilities (e.g., AI integration, booking automation) to maximize its value for guest service and booking conversion.
  • SEO & Listings : Own the strategy for Organic Search (SEO) and manage location listings for 450+ venues to ensure search visibility and accuracy.
  • Reputation Insights : Monitor reputation sentiment as a strategic data point; operational reputation management sits with PR/Operations.
  • Analytics : Use GA4 and other data sources to inform strategy and optimization decisions. You don't need to build the backend, but you must know how to read the data to find the "why."
  • Email Marketing & CRM Lifecycle Strategy : Lead segmentation strategy for the Birthday Club and Membership program, and partner with Creative to develop targeted content for each segment.
  • ESP Transition : Support the planning and rollout of our migration to a new email platform, ensuring our strategy transfers seamlessly to the new system.
  • Journey Building : Build automated journeys that support traffic, frequency, and revenue.
  • Campaign Integration : Integrate email planning into broader campaigns to reinforce promotions and content.
  • Volume Management : Oversee a large-scale messaging engine (250M+ sends; several million subscribers).
  • Innovation Budget : Manage an annual budget ($50k–$100k) to evaluate AI and automation tools that improve experience, insights, workflow, or content production.
  • Adoption : Partner with IT and Legal to ensure responsible, scalable adoption of new platforms.
  • Data Governance : Lead data hygiene and tagging strategy, partnering with the Marketing Technology Specialist who handles GTM/tagging implementation.
  • Team Management : Manage, coach, and prioritize work for a Marketing Technology Specialist responsible for HTML/CSS, tagging, and technical implementation.
  • Freelance Management : Hire, assign work to, and review output from a roster of freelancers supporting digital production and content.
  • IT Partnership : Translate marketing needs into technical requirements when partnering with IT.
  • Cross-Functional : Maintain strong relationships with Brand, Creative, Operations, and Analytics.
