As part of the Digital & Technology Core Finance Creation Center organization, our team focuses on creating, configuring, and operating digital products, platforms, and solutions that facilitate Pfizer's core finance functions. This includes areas such as Financial Consolidations, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Compliance, and Internal and External Reporting. This manager role acts as the liaison for Finance Controllers, External Reporting, and Investor Relations for all technology initiatives and projects. They will also contribute to the evaluation of emerging technology developments and implementing finance requirements, recommending suitable system alternatives or enhancements to existing systems as needed. This position will also contribute to advancing our Digital & Technology Strategy and assist the transformational change across Finance. What You Will Achieve In this role, you will: Build strong relationships with Finance & Digital teams to ensure effective operations and drive simplification of business processes during the close Support financial consolidation/reporting processes, intercompany reconciliations/eliminations, data validations etc. Oversee monthly FCCS maintenance including metadata and reporting updates, rules, mappings and logic updates and communicate to Controllership, FP&A and Digital stakeholders Translate finance needs into high value solutions, aligned with the overall Pfizer Digital & Technology strategy and leveraging existing systems and solutions where possible and ensuring solutions are reusable and configurable. Document requirements, prepare test scripts, and implementation plans in the Oracle Cloud Financial Consolidation and Close Solution (FCCS), and Oracle Cloud Data Management (DM) space Ensure timely and concise communication, anticipate and manage escalation processes. Ensure service delivery standards are maintained and work with necessary local, regional and global teams to escalate issues Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve system performance and end user functionality Maintain a good level of technical knowledge in all areas of financial management solutions, industry trends, competitive offerings, and internal Pfizer offerings

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree with two years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with eight years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong functional expertise in Finance and Accounting
  • Understanding of Oracle FCCS, Oracle DM and how Oracle Cloud works, and excellent analytical skills are required to be successful in this role
  • Experience designing, building, and supporting technology solutions using Oracle Cloud tools and software including FCCS/DM/Essbase/SmartView
  • Project management experience, working with internal and external cross-functional team members
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication up through and including senior finance leadership across various divisions
  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity and coordinate teams through complex and challenging cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.

  • Experience with SOX Systems and audits
