This position serves as the primary EHS liaison with divisions during plan design and throughout the project development process and construction. This position also requires a high level of technical proficiency and knowledge of EHS regulations as it affects the design and construction process. Responsible for reviewing complex scopes of work, contracts, blueprints, drawings, project submittals, and other related documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations, UPR, and/or corporate EHS standards and assurance guidelines. Coordinate with crucial departments (Legal, Finance, Universal Creative, Planned Work, etc.) to confirm and maintain compliance with EHS requirements for sourcing, contracting and contractor performance. Oversee, compile, and maintain a current a list of documented comments from reviews of project drawings, packages and submittals by EHS subject matter experts through all phases of a project. Communicate EHS and regulatory expectations to the responsible individuals in a timely manner. Attend design progress review meetings, as needed. Maintain electronic recordkeeping system for all EHS design review comments and recommendations; and oversee site verification for design implementation. Partner with Legal, Universal Creative, Finance, Entertainment, Tech Services, IT, and other key departments to evaluate and analyze scopes of work, contracts, and/or related documents for EHS Contractor performance. Develop and maintain an inventory of standardized EHS contract language in line with UPR EHS written programs. Lead and/or participate in pre-construction meetings, communicating UPR EHS Contractor expectations to contractors and Project Team. Facilitate and maintain effective communication mechanisms between contractor/vendors, design engineers/architects, project management teams, and EHS business lines throughout the project phase regarding EHS hazard identification, project submittals, plans, change management to facilitate compliance with regulations and EHS standards and assurance guidelines. Maintain accuracy of all EHS and UPR Contractor document management systems to include hard copy files, digital files, and document retention in accordance with UPR policy and regulatory document review. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
