Forecast: Assess the impact of market changes or significant variances in the forecast, and recommend appropriate revisions and tacticsManage statistical forecast exceptions by utilizing demand-planning exception reports to identify and fix potential issuesCollect past/future demand factors (distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans, etc.) from sales and merchandising and forecast/model their impacts on demandWork with Sales/ Sales Planning, Merchandising, and leadership to generate a consensus demand planCollaborate with key partners in Merch., Sales & finance and address input gaps as identified by forecast error review Seasonal Demand Plans: Gather historical data and create initial demand planBuild, share, and update seasonal demand plan Demand Planning tool: Leverage/maximize tool capabilities to ensure forecasting accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field
  • 2-3 years Demand Planning experience
  • 5+ years of Merchandising or Planning experience
  • Financial management & business acumen skills
  • Problem solving mindset, analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Assess the impact of market changes or significant variances in the forecast, and recommend appropriate revisions and tactics
  • Manage statistical forecast exceptions by utilizing demand-planning exception reports to identify and fix potential issues
  • Collect past/future demand factors (distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans, etc.) from sales and merchandising and forecast/model their impacts on demand
  • Work with Sales/ Sales Planning, Merchandising, and leadership to generate a consensus demand plan
  • Collaborate with key partners in Merch., Sales & finance and address input gaps as identified by forecast error review
  • Gather historical data and create initial demand plan
  • Build, share, and update seasonal demand plan
  • Leverage/maximize tool capabilities to ensure forecasting accuracy
