About The Position

The Demand Planning Manager leads the daily operations of the demand planning function, overseeing team members responsible for analyzing customer demand and developing accurate forecasts. This role requires a highly analytical leader with deep expertise in advanced forecasting methodologies. Success depends on strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration, particularly with partners in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience within Demand Planning, Finance and/or Supply Chain.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional processes, including S&OP.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and time management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4, SAP IBP, ERP systems, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to business systems and evolving organizational needs.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Demand Planning team to deliver accurate, timely sales forecasts.
  • Direct the monthly Demand Review as part of a robust S&OP process.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to create short‑ and long‑term demand forecasts.
  • Create and maintain the demand plan for defined sales channels, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and clear communication across cross‑functional partners.
  • Design and implement strategies to improve forecast accuracy, service levels, and planning efficiency.
  • Establish and track key demand planning performance metrics; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the demand plan throughout the product lifecycle, from new launches to end‑of‑life planning.
  • Lead seasonal and promotional planning activities across Supply Chain.
  • Optimize and enhance the demand planning tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with other Supply Chain functions to maintain balanced and optimal inventory levels.
  • Align demand forecasts with Finance to support budgeting and financial outlooks.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and quarterly updates.
  • Work closely with Supply Planning on monthly capacity reviews to understand impacts of future demand.
  • Proactively communicate forecast changes and requirements to Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in broader business processes and initiatives as needed.
