About The Position

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Systems Manager to act as a liaison between business and IT leadership. This role is crucial for identifying business-critical information, managing Decision Support staff, and ensuring that Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Executive Information Systems (EIS) align with business priorities. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of corporate strategies and have the ability to manage and prioritize diverse business needs. Responsibilities: Serve as a liaison between business and IT leadership to identify and prioritize information needs. Manage the Decision Support staff to ensure the development and support of DSS and EIS systems. Work closely with business leaders to define critical information needs and assess current systems and emerging technology capabilities. Lead research, evaluation, and selection of new technologies to meet business needs. Conduct cost and feasibility studies to support technology decisions. Ensure effective project management processes are in place and manage resources to deliver quality and timely solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience, including managing teams responsible for database, data warehouse, DSS, and EIS development and support.
  • Experience in middle-level management within the data warehouse function.
  • Strong skills in process and data modeling, data architectural development, IT planning, consulting, and project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise data and decision-making processes.
