About The Position

Manager, Dealer Brand (Auto) Capital One Auto is seeking an innovative and data-driven Manager, Dealer Brand to help lead dealer brand marketing efforts for the Auto line of the business. This associate will play a critical role in our B2B growth strategy, supporting Sales innovation efforts, focused on driving integrated strategies across the dealer journey. This role requires a strong mix of business knowledge and stakeholder management, omni-channel marketing experience, exceptional communication, proactive approach to becoming a subject matter expert in our dealer offerings, a creative and explorative mindset, and strong data and analytical skills. In this business-integrated role, you’ll be responsible for building and carrying out bold Sales innovation initiatives, crafting compelling brand narratives that resonate with our dealer customers and industry partners, helping build the marketing strategy and prioritization of high-impact campaigns both internally and externally, providing critical brand support of key Sales initiatives, and overseeing compliance reviews of marketing campaigns while working closely with creative partners, execution teams, and business analysts.   • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience focused on brand marketing, B2B marketing, direct response marketing, or corporate communications (or a combination)

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services marketing
  • 2+ years of experience presenting to senior leadership
  • 2+ years of experience with automotive B2B marketing, automotive lending providers, or automotive SaaS providers
  • 2+ years of experience working directly in B2B Sales or working hand-in-hand with a national B2B Sales team
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing or communications department for a Fortune 500 company, or experience within an advertising or marketing agency

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated brand strategies and spearhead impactful marketing projects, serving as a key liaison and collaborator with cross-functional teams from Sales, Business Analysis, Execution, Product, Creative, Legal, etc.
  • Serve as the Sales Brand representative to senior stakeholders, actively championing effective prioritization of initiatives aligned to business strategy while exploring opportunities to streamline process inefficiencies
  • Develop a deep understanding of Capital One Auto’s Dealer offerings, serving as a subject matter expert on the Brand team
  • Create overarching value propositions and storytelling for Dealer offerings, especially in new and undefined areas, across internal and external mediums
  • Lead strategic brand development of new and ongoing campaigns and testing pilots for Sales-supported initiatives, exploring and leveraging new mediums to engage with Dealers
  • Develop creative briefs, working closely with creative and execution partners to bring the business intent to life via compelling marketing deliverables while caring for the nuances of our channel-specific execution systems, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with analysts to understand and report on campaign performance and build on analysis to identify new opportunities to optimize marketing, test creative strategies, and segment audience
  • Synthesize research insights, marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations to improve results and Brand impact, coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Tell consistent and compelling stories about our products and services, while also championing our brand and the end customer experience
  • Lead the Brand strategy and output for Sales-supported internal marketing initiatives such as internal training and divisional events.
  • Influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking through excellent communication and presentation skills up to senior executives
  • Fully champion and embody well-managed processes, identifying opportunity gaps and driving improvements across immediate team and partner teams
  • Partner closely with data and business teams to provide necessary Marketing ROI reporting, helping inform decision making and surface key learnings through immediate team and partner teams
