The Data Product Manager (DPM) is a strategic leader within the Data Product Engineering (DPE) organization, responsible for guiding the strategy, prioritization, development, and implementation of data-centric products. DPM also promotes adoption of enterprise-level data products that empower data-driven decision making across the company. The DPM collaborates with data scientists, portfolio and central data engineers, data architects and other stakeholders to help translate complex data use cases into tangible business value, and ensure that data products align with business goals, provide value to users, and are built on reliable and scalable data infrastructure. 1. Product Vision and Strategy: Define and champion a data product vision aligned with business goals and future needs, including anticipating multi-year data requirements. Align business, analytical, and engineering teams with data strategy supporting ML and AI applications. 2. Product Development: Define requirements, objectives, and success criteria for data products. Collaborate with data engineering teams to plan and deliver data products. 3. Performance Monitoring and Adoption: Monitor the performance and usage of data products. Drive adoption among data consumers. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product success. Conduct market assessments, user interviews, and testing to identify opportunities for new products. 4. Data Strategy and Governance: Advise on reusable or redundant work from other portfolios. Champion data literacy within the organization and drive adoption rates. 5. Business Alignment develop data-driven products that align with organizational product strategy 6. Market and Consumer Insights: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations to inform product decisions. Map out data personas and consumer profiles to ensure a better understanding of customer needs. Bachelors degree or work experience equivalent, MBA preferred 5+ years experience in Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality, or Finance. 5+ years of leading projects, initiatives, translating business needs into actionable business requirements. Demonstrated ability to translate valuable business initiatives into requirements for technical execution. Strong business acumen. Excellent communication and command skills to leverage for customer interaction and demand prioritization as well as leadership engagement. Strong understanding of the GCP data stack.
