About The Position

The Manager of Data Insights & Reporting is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for defining, developing, and delivering scalable business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions across the organization. This role manages a team of BI and data professionals, partners closely with business and technical stakeholders, and ensures the availability of accurate, timely, and actionable insights that drive data-informed decision-making.This role combines strong people leadership, deep technical expertise, and strategic thinking to oversee BI tools, data pipelines, dashboards, and governance while continuously improving data quality, performance, and adoption.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field. 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience. Strong proficiency in Tableau, SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience with BI platform administration and performance optimization
Experience in data project management from inception to execution to maintenance
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and version control tools
Experience establishing data governance frameworks and standards
Strategic and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
Schedule: 8:30-5:30pm, M-F on-site in our Tampa Office. #LI-On-Site

Responsibilities

Oversee the full lifeycyle of data projects including design, development, and deployment of dashboards, reports, and analytical models.
Oversee ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable data integration.
Evaluate, implement, and administer BI tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Qlik).
Ensure effective use of SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing best practices.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI Analysts and data professionals.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
Promote ownership and high performance across the team.
Plan and manage BI and analytics projects, including scope, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
Support organizational performance measurement initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
Act as a liaison between IT, data teams, and business stakeholders to translate needs into effective BI solutions.
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and performance improvement opportunities.
Provide regular, reliable reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
Optimize BI platforms, dashboards, and queries for performance and cost efficiency.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support professional development.
Define and execute a data insights and reporting strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Partner with leaders across departments to refine reporting, analytics, and KPI frameworks.
Establish baseline performance metrics and recommend data-driven process improvements.
Establish and enforce data governance standards, documentation, and reporting best practices.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and timeliness through validation and testing.
Implement data security controls and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and technical leads to ensure smooth execution.
Ensure BI solutions are scalable, performant, and user-friendly.
Leverage Agile and project management methodologies to drive results.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics and reporting.
