Requirements

  • You’ll have a Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical data center environments, with proven hands-on work involving MEP systems.
  • Strong technical background with experience in: Large-scale UPS systems (N+1, 2N configurations) Emergency power generation and fuel systems Chilled water systems, cooling towers, and HVAC controls Electrical distribution and grounding systems
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret one-line electrical diagrams, mechanical schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Ability to work independently across sites, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel periodically between Alpharetta, GA and Sioux Falls, SD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead critical infrastructure operations across both data centers, ensuring uptime, safety, and performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for critical systems including: Generators and fuel systems UPS and battery systems (A/B power paths) Chillers, CRACs/CRAHs, and cooling towers Electrical distribution including switchgear, PDU, RPP Water treatment and HVAC controls
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans in alignment with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of incidents and lead implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support capital projects and retrofits, including infrastructure upgrades and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with facility vendors, engineering consultants, and service providers to ensure proper execution of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all infrastructure systems, configurations, and maintenance history.
  • Monitor site conditions using BMS/EPMS platforms and respond to alarms and abnormal trends.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
