About The Position
This role offers the chance to lead and shape the next generation of data, machine learning, and AI platforms used across a high-impact organization. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software, data, ML, or platform engineering; 1+ years managing individual contributors preferred.
- Proven experience building and scaling large-scale data, ML, or AI/GenAI platforms in cloud environments.
- Strong foundation in software engineering and distributed systems, including high-quality APIs and cloud-native services.
- Experience with modern data infrastructure: distributed compute/storage (Spark, Trino, Iceberg), real-time processing (Kafka/Flink), metadata/catalog systems, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Expertise in ML lifecycle: feature engineering, training pipelines, model deployment and serving, monitoring, validation, fine-tuning, and MLOps best practices.
- Familiarity with GenAI architectures: semantic retrieval, knowledge-grounded indexing, LLM orchestration, agent workflows, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strategic thinker capable of aligning platform investments with business priorities and emerging AI opportunities.
- Excellent communicator able to influence technical and business stakeholders; strong collaborator with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in a player-coach capacity, contributing to design, architecture, and execution of next-generation Data, ML, and GenAI platforms.
- Drive modernization of data and ML infrastructure to support unified signals, adaptive models, experimentation velocity, and scalable AI/ML workloads.
- Deliver APIs, SDKs, frameworks, and self-service tools that enable teams to build, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions efficiently and safely.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate platform capabilities into production-ready features and intelligent experiences.
- Promote responsible AI and data adoption through documentation, templates, enablement programs, and best practices for safety and compliance.
- Oversee platform reliability, observability, performance, cost efficiency, and simplification of legacy systems.
- Develop and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of clarity, trust, and excellence.
