About The Position

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Cyber Security to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.
The Manager, Cyber Security provides strategic and operational leadership for cybersecurity across both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) environments. This role ensures that enterprise systems, industrial control systems, plant networks and safety critical technologies are protected against cyber threats while maintaining operational reliability. The manager oversees security governance, continuous monitoring, incident response and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with federal requirements, NIST frameworks, and organizational risk priorities. This position serves as a liaison between It, OT engineering, operations, leadership and external cyber stakeholders.
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. The SRMC Team is responsible for the closure of waste tanks, the operation of the Savannah River Site’s Defense Waste Processing Facility, tank farm operations and associated production and disposal facilities. www.savannahrivermissioncompletion.com

Requirements

• BS in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field and progressive professional experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or related discipline.
• Demonstrated background in audit readiness, compliance assessments, and corrective action planning.
• Demonstrated experience developing cyber security maturity models, roadmaps and executive level reporting.
• Experience securing government cloud environments (e.g. Azure GCC/GCCH).
• Experience with OT/ICS cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP 800-82.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC or cloud security certifications.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust principles and modern identity architectures.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with progressive responsibly.
• Experience working in a federally regulated environment.
• Experience working in a Department of Energy regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Leads planning, implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls across IT and OT environments.
• Direct daily security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, threat monitoring, disaster recovery and cyber configuration oversight for IT/OT systems.
• Supports and orchestrates the development and maintenance of the Certification and Accreditation package in a DOE cyber security environment.
• Develop, update, and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures and governance documentation.
• Conduct and oversee risk assessments, security architecture reviews, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Coordinate with executives, system owners, service providers and auditors to ensure compliance with NIST, DOE and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage cybersecurity staff, contractors, and service providers, including workload prioritization, performance oversight and professional development.
• Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and briefings for leadership, governance bodies and oversight organizations.
• Support enterprise planning efforts, including cybersecurity roadmaps, budget development and resource allocation.
