About The Position

Join our dynamic team and support the Case Ready Senior Customer Development Manager! This position is integral to the Case Ready Fresh Beef and Pork team, leading the development of actionable insights, customer planning, and financial reporting. You will leverage a variety of resources including syndicated panel data, shopper marketing data, and industry studies. This position works closely within a matrix organization, collaborating with various functions including Supply Chain, Customer Team, Demand Planning, Brand Business Units, and the Customer.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 plus years of relevant experience with Category or Customer Management experience within the CPG industry
  • Computer Skills: Sales planning tools software
  • High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office software
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel: Once or twice a year
  • Frequent trips to stores

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Analytics: Provide recommendations, solutions, and thought leadership for assigned categories.
  • Reporting: Lead and develop weekly reporting for team managers and customers as assigned.
  • Category Expertise: Utilize syndicated data insights to interface frequently with buyers and be recognized as a category expert.
  • Forecasting: Develop weekly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for POS shipments by category and track performance and projections.
  • Annual Operating Plan: Utilize information to build annual operating plan assumptions.
  • New Item Launches: Conduct deep analytics on new item launches and partner with the Business Unit and team on key insights.
  • Seasonal Business Trackers: Develop and publish seasonal business trackers.
  • Promotional Planning: Direct all activities with the customer related to optimal promotional planning.
  • Trade Efficiency: Recommend trade efficiency opportunities and regional pricing initiatives based on trade analytics and market assessment.
  • Joint Business Planning: Develop and maintain customer Joint Business Planning (JBP) files for weekly updates to said customers.
  • Market Assessment: Leverage syndicated data to conduct market assessments and develop regional category recommendations about assortment, pricing, and merchandising.
