About The Position

The Manager of Custodial Services ensures buildings and facilities receive the highest quality custodial services. Communicates with customers. Coordinates staff, equipment, specialty crews, and other maintenance departments. Plans, schedules, trains, and manages services to the University community. Ensures that campus facilities are clean and available for use on a daily basis. Supervises Custodial Supervisors which involves direct and indirect responsibilities of interviewing, selecting, training, and evaluating performance.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and some management or supervisory experience in custodial, hospitality, retail, human resources, or other relevant industry; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of management or supervisory experience in custodial, hospitality, retail, human resources, or other relevant industry; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of management or supervisory experience in custodial, hospitality, retail, human resources, or other relevant industry; OR high school diploma or GED and six (6) years of management or supervisory experience in custodial, hospitality, retail, human resources, or other relevant industry.
  • Must have valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
  • Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills, such as word processing, spreadsheet management, and/or database management.
  • Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
  • A prior conviction reported as a result of the background investigation DOES NOT automatically disqualify a candidate from consideration for this position.
