What you get to do: Responsible for leading all activities of Entertainment in a collaborative effort to maintain and/or generate new shows, events and design that improves the overall guest experience of the park. Lead the park team to support the park’s growth strategies and develop and implement inspirational, imaginative shows and events to park guests. You will: Create and execute the best seasonal events in the local market Enhance the guest experience with costumed characters, atmospheric entertainment and an immersive park environmentDeliver show elements and special effects on park rides as designed. Contribute to the park’s senior leadership team Prepares long-term plans to meet the future business needs of the Entertainment department Creates budget and schedules for the execution or implementation of show and event product including new capital Efficiently manages associated expenses including labor and capital costs, as well as work schedules, to ensure alignment with budgets and schedule expectations Creates a review and approval process for work requests aligned with the Entertainment experience requirements Collaborates with park and park support stakeholders. Manages the award of vendor work, tracks project progress, and ensures timely completion of work efforts Provides appropriate support to ensure Entertainment product intent is carried through to completion Develops and leads Entertainment ambassadors, ensuring performance standards across areas, shops and between other departments Listens and responds to employee concerns; positively resolves workplace issues Ensures adequate staffing, tools and training. Communicates effectively ensuring ambassadors see and understand the overarching plans and goals of the department. Maintains open and regular communications, including presentations for approvals, with park senior leadership, corporate leadership, D&E and other stakeholders to ensure creative alignment with the Entertainment experience Ensure safe work environment, safe work practices and a safe park experience for guests
