About The Position

Mananger - Creative Services Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Monday- Firday; Hours vary. Location: Downers Grove, IL Working with and reporting to the SVP, Marketing, the Creative Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing, developing and executing a range of team members, creative projects, and deliverables to promote our brand, products and services across all channels internal and external. Partners with marketing, digital marketing, and communications leadership and outside vendors to successfully deliver on marketing team objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Marketing, or Communications field required.
  • 8-10 years of experience within graphic design, marketing, or advertising required.
  • Strong foundation in graphic design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling across digital and print media.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; familiarity with other design and production tools as needed).
  • Experience leading and managing a creative team, including assigning work, providing feedback, mentoring, and supporting professional development.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative direction, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, problem-solve, and remain flexible to changing priorities and business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Multimedia and video production experience (including art direction, production coordination, or editing) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers to execute creative deliverables is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads hands-on creative design and execution across marketing initiatives.
  • Serves as a hands-on designer, producing high-quality graphic design deliverables across digital, print, social, and experiential channels.
  • Develops visual concepts, layouts, and design systems that support marketing campaigns and service line initiatives.
  • Executes and oversees creative deliverables including graphic design, photo selection, typography, layout, and light copy/tagline development as needed.
  • Partners with marketing leaders to translate campaign objectives into effective, on-brand creative solutions.
  • Owns visual brand governance and creative quality control across all touchpoints.
  • Ensures consistent application of brand standards across all DMG brands, platforms, and environments, including digital, print, social, video, signage, and facilities.
  • Provides creative direction, design guidance, and final approvals to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
  • Acts as a brand steward, identifying and correcting inconsistencies in visual execution across internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborates with advertising agencies and vendors to ensure all creative output aligns with established brand standards and marketing objectives.
  • Manages creative production, project workflows, and a team of designers and multimedia specialists.
  • Leads and mentors a team of designers and multimedia specialists, providing clear creative direction, feedback, and professional development.
  • Balances hands-on design work with assigning, prioritizing, and reviewing team deliverables to ensure timelines, quality, and business needs are met.
  • Oversees creative production workflows, schedules, and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Provides art direction and production oversight for multimedia assets, including video and photography, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Manages internal and external creative resources, including freelancers, vendors, and agencies, to support production needs.
