Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager within the Naval Power Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role supports Development efforts for the Standard Missile-2/Standard Missile-6 (SM-2/SM-6) program within the Shipboard Missiles portfolio by providing contract management support of significant scope and complexity and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract execution. Our Contracts teammates are valued business partners, influencing and executing balanced business deals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and working with the program to ensure mutual long-term success all in support of the products and services we deliver to our customers. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working on collaborative, cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills. Minimal travel may be required to other Raytheon site locations.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in management of complex contracts and/or subcontracts including proposal preparation and / or contract negotiation for development, production, and/or service contracts
  • Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) terms and conditions
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

  • Ability to recognize business and contractual issues in program performance and help implement solutions
  • Ability to adapt to changing business environments, while working tasks to completion and exercising good judgment with minimal supervision
  • Related contract administration and change management experience, including hands-on proposal preparation and contract negotiations with the Government
  • Strong understanding of financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements
  • Active current DoD Security Clearance (Secret)
  • MBA or Juris Doctor or other relevant Advanced Degrees

Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships.
  • Work with key partners; Program Managers, Business/Finance, Estimating, and advise management of contractual rights/obligations and the means to mitigate contractual/program risks.
  • Seek innovative contracting techniques to ensure mutually benefitting outcomes for both the customer and Raytheon.
  • Identify, mitigate, and facilitate the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise.
  • Support the analysis of RFPs, development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiations as well administration of contractual agreements, and execution and close out of contracts.
  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies.
  • Research compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, and formulate recommendations to management.
