The Manager, Community Impact leads the execution of Good Reason Houston’s community-based activation strategy in priority districts and is responsible for mobilizing parents, residents, and stakeholders into structured pathways of participation that advance advocacy priorities tied to economic mobility and living wage outcomes. This role serves as a visible representative of the organization in community spaces and manages the full engagement pipeline—from initial recruitment to onboarding to sustained participation. It requires strong external relationship leadership, clear communication, and disciplined operational follow-through to ensure community engagement translates into measurable impact. In this role, the Manager drives consistent growth in active participants, strengthens conversion from onboarding to first action, and cultivates a base that reflects the communities we most aim to serve. The position relies on a data-informed approach to track participation patterns, surface trends, and refine tactics based on performance. Success hinges on the Manager’s ability to align field strategy with established advocacy priorities, maintain accountability across the engagement pipeline, and elevate community perspectives in ways that deepen understanding and support mobilization around policies that promote economic mobility for Houston students. This role also supports coordinated engagement efforts with our affiliate organization, Houstonians for Great Public Schools, ensuring alignment across shared priorities and participation pathways.
