As a member of the NBC Sports Communications Department, the Manager, Communications is responsible for developing strategic plans for and executing publicity of NBC Sports’ marketing and promotional activity around all properties, with a focus on the convergence of sports, entertainment, music, style, and culture. This position will have exposure across a variety of partners, with the expectation of impactful input across key events and properties. The person will also work closely with Ad Sales Communications to effectively publicize and manage all matters related to NBCUniversal’s sports advertising sales. The publicist will also be on-site, as needed, to support coverage at major events, and will also support NBC Sports’ day-to-day sports publicity needs, with the potential to lead on select properties. The role calls for division- and company-wide collaboration, requiring work with NBC Sports’ production, programming, and marketing departments as well as other communications departments within Comcast NBCUniversal.
