This role, under Non- Product is responsible for developing and implementing Strategic Sourcing and Commodity Management strategies including but not limited to cost savings projects, mitigation of price increases, improving pay terms, contract negotiations and administrations, creating RFQs, analyzing RFQ results, building business cases, developing new suppliers and transitioning work to more optimal suppliers.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as definedhttps://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • 4+ years experience in Supply Chain/Sourcing/Commodity Management
  • 3+ years experience negotiating contracts

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and execution of commodity, sourcing and supplier development strategies for Facilities and Operations Suppliers
  • Executes Supply Chain strategies across multiple sites
  • Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity
  • Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures
  • Ensure the achievement of key goals in the areas of supplier performance, cost reduction, management and execution of supplier agreements and monitor the compliance to those agreements
  • Identify opportunities to convert spot purchase orders to existing Long Term Agreements
  • Manages projects or processes of various complexity
  • Resolves escalated issues with vendors and Supply Chain Management
  • Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager
  • Conduct RFQs and perform bid analysis
  • Analyzes data and information to determine reasonable prices
  • Evaluates supplier’s capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness
  • Lead LTA negotiations and conduct complex negotiations
  • Establishes sourcing goals and acceptable service levels
  • Negotiates and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives
  • Organize efforts with regards to supplier performance improvements and onsite support on critical recovery plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop commodity or supplier strategies as well as to drive special projects with Suppliers and cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Identifies and conducts research on suppliers to ensure that the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met
  • Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed Collins requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international)
