About The Position

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity: Revolution Medicines is seeking a Manager, Commercial FP&A to support our growing Global Commercialization organization. The Manager, Commercial FP&A will be a key operational finance partner across Global Commercial Development, US Commercial, and Global Medical Affairs teams. This role reports to the Senior Director, Commercial FP&A and is based out of our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 6+ years’ experience in a similar role in biotechnology industry.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working effectively in a demanding environment with minimal direction.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to adjust workload based on changing priorities.
  • Highest standards of accuracy, precision, and diligence; highly organized.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and initiative-taking.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally with demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize options, anticipate challenges, and execute corporate goals.
  • Strong analytical and advanced excel skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing financial systems and other business intelligence tools; NetSuite, Adaptive Insights (including OfficeConnect), and Coupa experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the monthly accounting close process including preparation of month‑end OPEX accrual journal entries, review of open POs, invoices, and service completion status.
  • Own day‑to-day PO coding and mapping ensuring alignment to business initiatives in partnership with functional operations teams.
  • Prepare monthly internal management reporting packages including budget vs actual reporting, regional/product P&L reporting, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis of actuals to budget/forecast, explain and investigate major discrepancies, and understand key business drivers.
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting processes for the Global Commercialization organization including preparing templates, partnering with functional teams on inputs, and utilizing FP&A systems (Adaptive) for consolidation & reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and analytical support, including spend tracking, benchmarking, and scenario analysis, as needed.
  • Maintain a “continuous improvement” mindset across processes, systems, and reporting to support Revolution Medicines’ evolution as it scales into a global fully integrated commercial stage company.
