About The Position

Manager, Center Performance is responsible for supporting the Center Triads in implementing and operationalizing initiatives, innovations and remediation , and remediation plans to address performance trends at the Center Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities Functional Category: Administration Estimated Percent of time Spent – 70% Supports the Statewide Director of Performance Managed and Triad leadership in implemtoing and operationalizing action plans for prioritized initiatives to improve Center results and operational efficiency and effectiveness. Undertakes RCA methodology when assessing aberrant performance and utilizes PDCA methodology for assigned projects. Develops and refines policies and procedures applicable to assigned projects to improve operations, execution, and clarity of expectations among center staff. Conducts data analysis or makes use of existing data to prioritize activities, as part of the PDCA cycle for assigned projects Assists with the development of the annual Forecast and budget and adheres to established expense and budget guidelines. Conducts documentation review and provides feedback and/or assessment to Triad, Statewide Performance Manager and other shared services partners as applicable related to grievance resolution letter quality, RCA level 2 summary quality, or other high visibility documents in collaboration with Compliance or Quality or as part of specific focused reviews.Supports improved customer service and retention through oversight and optimization of the participant navigator(s) and implementation of retention strategies at the Center level. Collaborates with Center Triad and functional leaders as well as shared service peers to improve the overall performance and reputation of InnovAge with regulators, stakeholders, participants. Functional Category: Supervision Estimated Percent of time Spent – 30% Acts as an internal consultant to Center leaders to support improved understanding of FOCUS PDCA and similar performance improvement approaches Advises and supports Center leaders in implementing and managing effective monitoring and oversight processes as part of Center-level adoption of key initiatives, remediation plans, KPIs, or other projects. Advises and assists Center leaders in developing remediation plans to address performance and compliance. Effectively supervises and manages direct reports and provides, by example and leadership, motivation and direction to employees of the organization. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal employment laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective disciplinary procedures and practices (under direction of supervisor and in partnership with Human Resources), addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures annual employee performance reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner. Evaluates performance of employees for adherence to established policies and objectives of the organization and contributions in attaining objectives. Helps set the tone of the department to ensure morale, teamwork, and that the positive employment culture of the organization is maintained. Regularly schedules l staff 1:1 meetings to provide leadership, development, and a forum for communication to ensure coordination and collaboration in meeting organization and individual goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, nursing or other clinical area, health or social sciences
  • Unrestricted licensure required for those with nursing or other clinical education; must be able to become licensed in all states for the region assigned.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in process engineering, process improvements, quality, compliance or risk management, preferably in a managed care, hospital or health care related environment.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a matrixed organization to achieve goals across multi-functional teams with diverse experience and expertise.
  • Current working knowledge of performance improvement, quality, opex, or compliance principles and practices related to the healthcare environment the FOCUS PDCA and/or similar models.
  • Strong management skills and a minimum of two years’ experience supervising staff
