About The Position

Amazon is seeking to hire a Manager to lead our Category Management team. You can anticipate a customer first, Day 1 culture rooted in innovation and willingness to challenge the status quo. In this role you will lead a talented team of Category Managers responsible for a variety of perishable and non-perishable consumer goods. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated how they can hire, inspire, and develop a team to reach their potential. You will bring a proven track record of building and developing people/organizations, making data-driven decisions, identifying and adding process improvements, fostering strong partnerships, advocating on behalf of our customers, and being able to influence without authority with partner teams. The candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Requirements

  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
