About The Position

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned staff. Key areas of responsibility include hiring, training, supervision, staffing, staff performance evaluations, and staff, department, and hospital performance improvement activities. Managers also provide case management as needed, meeting the case manager job duties and responsibilities, including assessment, reassessment, care coordination, and discharge planning activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, and Email
• Supervisory experience
• Focus on customer service
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida (for Nurse candidates)
• Clinical social worker licensure in the state of Florida within 6 months of hire or transfer (for Social Work candidates)
• License within their master's specified education area, if applicable (for related field candidates)
• Professional certification within two years of hire for new hires effective January 1, 2015
• 1-2 years of Supervisory experience
• 3-5 years of Utilization management, case management and/or discharge planning experience in a hospital setting
