About The Position

The Manager, Capital Projects with direct EPC and PVF experience will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects with a focus on strategic alignment and operational excellence. This role provides leadership to a small project team, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The Manager, Capital Projects will serve as the primary point of contact for high-value projects, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Business, or related field), Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing capital projects exceeding $5M in scope.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project).
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (CSD INFOR preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience managing the full EPC project lifecycle, including engineering coordination, procurement strategies, and execution for industrial projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee risk management processes and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Ensure timely placement and tracking of purchase orders for PVF components, coordinating with procurement teams and suppliers to meet project schedules and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Monitor order status, expedite critical items, and manage logistics for on-time delivery to fabrication yards or construction sites.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on project progress, KPIs, and financial performance.
  • Drive process improvements and establish best practices for project governance and operational efficiency.
  • Build and implement standardized project workflows to improve execution consistency, visibility, and accountability across teams.
  • Develop and deploy project management tools, templates, and reporting frameworks to support scalable project delivery.
  • Lead project management training initiatives and support the upskilling of processes and team capabilities to strengthen overall performance.
  • Mentor and coach project managers and coordinators to build team capability and succession readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal leadership teams.
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., INFOR) for order tracking, material reconciliation, and accurate reporting of procurement status.
