About The Position

Akkodis is seeking a Manager of Business Systems for a position with a client located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This individual must have 5-7 years of experience managing enterprise business systems and/or ERP systems. Salary Range: $125,000-$150,000K Manager, Business Systems job responsibilities include: Oversee the development, administration, and enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Sales (CRM) and other enterprise business systems Act as the escalation point for complex systems issues and major project decisions Serve as the bridge between the technical and functional aspects of business application, analyzing complex business requirements and translate them into system solutions Lead the development and implementation of automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for system support and development Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime Stay abreast of the latest development updates, and best practices within the Microsoft D365 ecosystem, bringing innovative and cutting-edge solutions Develop a deep understanding of the data flow, interconnectivity across application modules, and dependencies with external systems to ensure seamless integration and data integrity Develop and maintain technical specifications and other documentation including use cases, workflows, and training materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or business administration
  • Minimum 5 years' overall experience in business systems, IT, or enterprise applications, including 3 years of hands-on experience in system implementation, enhancement, and upgrades of ERP and/or CRM solutions (7 in lieu of degree)
  • Proficiency with functional and technical aspects in one or more ERP platforms, preferably with Dynamics Business Central, Dynamics Sales (CRM), and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse)
  • Familiarity with APIs, integration web services, and middleware platforms (Dell Boomi is preferred)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools and/or scripting languages (e.g. AL, Python) for data manipulation and automation
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across departments

  • Prior experience in distribution, manufacturing, or a supply chain-intensive industry preferred
