The Role We’re hiring a Business Applications Manager to build and own Abby Care’s business applications function. This is a Full-time On-site position based in San Francisco, CA. This role reports into the Head of Operations. This is a high-ownership role responsible for designing, scaling, and operating the systems that power how we grow - starting with Salesforce, our communications stack, and core operational tooling. You’ll wear multiple hats including as an architect, administrator, developer, and long-term owner of our systems layer: stabilizing what exists today, leading complex migrations (including telephony), and designing a flexible foundation that can support new workflows, service lines, and go-to-market motions over time. You’ll partner closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, and Sales leadership to translate real-world workflows into scalable systems. Success in this role is about sequencing, judgment, and building the right foundation over time, not solving everything at once.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in business applications, systems, or platform operations with deep, hands-on Salesforce expertise across architecture, administration, automation, and data modeling.
  • Proven track record leading major system builds, migrations, or re-architectures, and comfortable mentoring or managing a small team.
  • Strong systems thinker with sound judgment on when to customize versus standardize, and experience designing for scale within complex environments of 10+ integrated tools, including telephony or communications platforms.
  • Experience with translating complex, real-world workflows into clear system requirements and partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Sales.
  • Able to clearly communicate tradeoffs and constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in an ownership-oriented and pragmatic, treating systems as products rather than tasks, with a thoughtful approach to sequencing, change management, and operating calmly in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Certification in Salesforce App Builder, Salesforce Platform Administrator, Salesforce Solution Architect, HubSpot CRM Implementation Accreditation, Platform Data Architect is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Platform Ownership & Architecture Own the end-to-end design and evolution of our Salesforce-centered platform, establishing scalable architecture, data models, and governance that balance immediate needs with long-term flexibility.
  • Systems & Integrations Lead vendor management and the rollout of communication and telephony tools, while designing and managing integrations across CRM, phone, billing, analytics, and internal systems to ensure data integrity, security, and reliability.
  • Enablement & Adoption Partner with Operations, Sales, and Care teams to translate workflows into system requirements, and build the training, documentation, and enablement needed to drive adoption and effective use.
  • Team & Function Leadership Manage and develop a small BizApps team, set operating cadence and priorities, and define clear ownership of what the function owns, supports, and influences.
  • Operational Insight Enable robust reporting and dashboards, improve visibility into funnels and handoffs, and reduce manual work through thoughtful system design.
