About The Position

In this position you will promote and foster continued business development opportunities with existing Customers and grow the business base within the Department of Defense and other US Government agencies. You will drive new revenue streams by leveraging SES’s current core competencies and creating new value for customers by thinking outside the box, thereby helping SES move up the value chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, cyber, intelligence, aeronautics or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience within DoD or other government agencies
  • Understanding of US Contracting and budgeting processes
  • Excellent planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of industry markets, products, and technology

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • US DoD Clearance preferred, or eligible

Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster continued business development opportunities with existing customers
  • Expand and grow business base by developing new customer relationships
  • Support the Company's short and long-term strategic plan to meet or exceed their revenue and earnings forecast under the direction of senior leadership
  • Overall responsibility for the accuracy and achievement of their bookings forecast and plan, and keeping Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool up to date.
  • Visit and prospect new and existing customers on a regular basis
  • Perform competitive market analysis and monitor competitive activity to support identifying customer needs
  • Formulate and exercise market campaign plans, both short and long range to ensure achievement of financial objectives, and products and services innovation
  • Oversee and monitor Bid and Proposal Budgets
  • Assist in planning, designing, and implementing business plans; create revenue forecasts and analyze customer demand signals; create capture plans
  • Work closely with other departments and/or functions within SES Space & Defense (e.g. Program Management, Engineering, Products, etc.) to coordinate customer activities, and market strategies
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Give presentations on company portfolio of products and services
  • Create and write proposals, responses to U.S. Government Requests for Information (RFIs), and white papers.
  • Attend business meetings as requested
  • Attend trade shows as requested
