Job Overview: Wasserman’s Brands & Properties group focuses on marketing services including sponsorship/partnership strategy, partnership marketing, creative, experiential, social media and creator marketing. We’re seeking a Manager to join our Business Development Operations team, focused on supporting the work of our Strategy & Consulting team. This role will be primarily responsible for leading the development of creds decks, proposals and case studies for business development opportunities, as well as project management of proposal responses. This role will be critical to developing and managing the systems we use to ensure scalability of our business development efforts, replicating processes used elsewhere and adjusting and applying them to our work for Projects and Properties. Other responsibilities include supporting on discovery calls with potential clients, supporting on the development of pricing/resourcing proposals, managing opportunity tracking in Salesforce, supporting on scopes of work and handling onboarding documents when a project is sold in. What You’ll Do: The ideal candidate is someone who works hard and learns fast, works well with others and knows how to weave together a story. The ideal candidate will have the following qualities: Strategic & curious: Take genuine curiosity in the work we do for our clients, including an interest in sports and the business of sports. While you’re not a subject matter expert on revenue valuation and you’re not an analyst fielding custom research studies, you want to learn and understand the services we provide to clients to fill in your understanding of what Wasserman does and why we’re unique. Strong deck builder who finds ways to get involved: You know how to weave together a story, and you’re able to identify and source the right slides from Wasserman’s existing materials to make a case for why we’re the right fit for a specific opportunity, including the right mix of case studies to demonstrate our expertise. You’re not a designer, but you know how to balance visuals and text on a slide. You’ve been known to “design” things in PowerPoint/Keynote. It bothers you when text formatting isn’t consistent from slide to slide. You’re known to be detail oriented. Excellent communicator: Strong written communication skills, including the ability to articulate a narrative when writing case studies. Over-communicates on project statues, independently managing workload and flagging when there is an issue meeting a deadline. Proactive project management skills: You’re able to draft work back schedules for projects and collaborate with key stakeholders to gain input and buy in. Then, you hold everyone accountable to the timeline, jumping into Slack to communicate consistent updates, taking detailed meeting notes and developing accurate, actionable next steps coming out of all meetings and check-ins, as well as open items that require input from the team. Highly organized and able to handle high volume: The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize amongst multiple projects with different and at times competing deadlines, will follow existing file organization systems to manage and archive all client decks, presentations and case studies, ensuring we have a record of all outgoing client materials and ensuring all materials that are developed are accessible to everyone in the org in the appropriate Box/Drive locations.
