We are seeking a Business Development Operations Manager to play a key role in advancing growth across Defense & Intelligence, High Consequence Missions Sector. This position supports strategic planning, pipeline development, and capture initiatives by providing high-impact contributions across the full business development lifecycle—from market research and opportunity identification to proposal development and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and bring curiosity, initiative, and hard work. Due to the collaborative nature of this role, this position is a hybrid role and requires ability to be in Herndon or Chantilly Virginia at least 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Political Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in business development, marketing, project support, or analyst role (preferably in defense, intelligence, or adjacent Government sectors).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn from peers and mentors.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and a positive attitude.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to support of Department of Defense (DoD) contracts.
  • Ability to obtain Top-Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data input and management.
  • Oversee daily input of data into the CRM, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with business development team to ensure timely updates to opportunity records and capture status
  • Analyze data using statistical techniques and providing reports, to include Salesforce and PowerBI.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute customized reports and dashboards for growth and leadership teams.
  • Analyze CRM data to provide insights on opportunity tracking, win/loss analysis, and proposal success rates.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve data flow processes and enhance data quality.
  • Business Development & Growth Support:
  • Track B&P and OpDev funding and expenses in coordination with SVP of Growth and D&I BD Operations.
  • Monitor market and customer trends to support development of growth strategies.
  • Assist in identifying/qualifying new business opportunities in alignment with sector goals.
  • Support proposal development, including content collection, editing, formatting, and compliance checks.
  • Help prepare internal and external briefings, marketing materials, and capture plans.
  • Contribute to knowledge management systems, including updating partner databases and pursuit tracking resources.
  • Coordinate across functional teams to gather inputs for key milestones or deliverables.
  • Strategic Planning & Market Positioning:
  • Assist in developing campaign materials and presentations that articulate value proposition.
  • Collect, organize, and synthesize inputs from internal stakeholders to produce consolidated after-action reports following conferences, customer engagements, and strategic events.
  • Research competitors, customers, and market shifts to inform team strategies.
  • Help identify partnerships and gather background materials for teaming efforts.
