About The Position

The Business Analytics Manager provides support to the operations of the Clinical Laboratories through the management and control of the revenue cycle, supply chain, client billing, contracts and benchmarking. Along with the leadership team of the laboratory, establishes budgets and operating plans, identifies and implements systems to increase efficiencies, grow revenue and create sound business practices.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate Degree in health science required.
  • 1-2 years in healthcare or laboratory setting required.

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Along with the Director, develops annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Reviews and communicates information regarding performance and recommends corrective action when needed.
  • Oversees departmental benchmarking reports including timely and accurate data submission and utilization of benchmarking tools to improve overall performance.
  • Manages systems for special billing including outside contracts, grants, clinical trials and referral testing.
  • Develops systems for timely and consistent decision making regarding pricing for laboratory services.
  • Establishes criteria and systems to enhance laboratory revenue.
  • Works with Business Services to manage pre-certification of services where needed and to obtain accurate information for billing.
  • Manages the Laboratory Charge Master including the calculation of costs of new test and procedures and the establishment of new codes.
  • Works with the Director, the Faculty and the Supervisors to identify opportunities to reduce operating expenses.
  • Works with clinical staff to analyze the financial and operational impact of new tests, new business opportunities and new contracts.
  • Assists in the review and management of Laboratory contracts for supplies and services.
  • Provides direction to outreach programs related to pricing and operational impact.
  • Performs special projects as part of the Laboratory leadership team.
  • Organizes and coordinates services provided, oversees operations, and manages staff and budget in accordance with hospital’s policies and procedures.
  • Assists in strategic development: develops staff and facilities to meet new and existing needs.
  • Works on interdisciplinary teams and projects to further the overall goals of the organization.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the leadership standards and iSCORE values of the Hospital.
