About The Position

Manager, Broker The Manager, Broker provides assistance in the brokering and proper disposal of waste materials. This role interacts with various departments, areas, and functions within the plant and broader Arcwood organization. This role will manage identification, segregation, documentation and brokering planning of waste management activities. Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times Utilizes internal Materials Management System (MMS) to locate, track, manifest and ship waste to other facilities Develops, maintains and initiates reports on all activities for management review or as required by regulations, company policies and procedures Assists in scheduling team member tasks to ensure that operational goals are met and tracked in an efficient manner Interfaces with other departments and leadership to ensure smooth workflows throughout the facility Maintains ownership of inventory of outbound facilities for brokered waste Partners with the Off-Spec Coordinator to ensure customers can receive a brokered option for off-spec waste material Utilizes knowledge of waste materials to identify safe, compliant, and cost-effective onsite storage and packaging of brokered waste Identifies challenges during the brokering process and partners with Off-Spec Coordinator to ensure all issues are noted and resolved; documents all issues associated with loads including compliance, physical or chemical challenges Plans and organizes daily brokering activities, including interaction with transporters to schedule loads and prevent and resolve issues including any off-spec resolutions needed at outbound facilities Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree within a science-related discipline (required)
3+ years of RCRA and/or DOT experience within the hazardous waste management or environmental management industry (required)
