About the position

The Marketing Intelligence & Strategy Manager at General Motors is responsible for providing comprehensive marketing performance insights and strategic recommendations to enhance consumer experiences and drive sales. This role involves collaboration with various teams to develop media and brand strategies, ensuring effective measurement and reporting of marketing campaigns. The manager will lead both internal and contractor teams, focusing on data storytelling and actionable insights to support brand positioning and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide marketing performance insights for vehicle lines of business or Onstar to improve consumer experiences and increase sales opportunities.
  • Develop media and brand strategies with LoB Brand leadership by leveraging multidimensional marketing insights.
  • Distill multiple marketing data sets and reports into actionable insights and recommendations, showcasing strong commercial acumen.
  • Lead reporting updates to CMO/Owner Growth, providing US & Global POV in CEO update materials as needed.
  • Link to common brand measurement approaches, envisioning and maximizing dashboards and reporting.
  • Ensure brand teams follow briefing and measurement guidelines.
  • Work across measurement teams to develop holistic performance measurement.
  • Educate business partners on GM's frameworks while providing oversight across media and performance measurements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve conversion of key funnel activities and media strategies.
  • Lead annual learning agenda development across channels, taking those goals to measurement and research teams.
  • Partner with research and creative agencies to support capabilities and initiatives.
  • Consult on brand tagging and ensure accurate measurement of marketing efforts.
  • Develop and grow MSI Leads and analyst capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 8+ years' experience with automotive analytics or marketing analytics
  • Proven leadership skills, either directly or through mentoring/coaching others
  • Experience in strategy and commercial business reporting
  • Deep understanding of marketing performance measures and strategic insights
  • Strong understanding of marketing disciplines (online/offline, creative, measurement)
  • Experience in digital lines of business marketing measurement
  • Demonstrated thought-leadership in developing data-driven recommendations
  • Strong presentation and problem-solving skills
  • A consumer-centric, results-driven mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently
  • Highly organized and process-oriented
  • Comfortable establishing and enforcing new standards and processes.
